11Useful information?
- The extra CO2 produced to aircondition a typical
office building every year is enough to fill
around 30 hot air balloons. - Replacing old inefficient fluorescent tubes in a
typical small office with newer slimline tubes
can save the equivalent weight in CO2 as 3
average adult men. - Lowering the temperature in a typical office
building by just 1oC would save enough energy to
power 13,600 standard washing machine cycles.
- Replacing10 standard light bulbs with equivalent
low energy bulbs saves enough CO2 to fill at
least 3000 milk bottles. - A computer switched off at night weekends will
save an equivalent amount of energy to make over
21,000 cups of coffee. - Making good use of daylight in typical small
office saves enough CO2 to fill a double decker
bus.
