Matthew 1623But he turned and said to
Peter, Get behind me, Satan! You are a
hindrance to me. For you are not setting your
mind on the things of God, but on the things of
man.

2 Timothy 316 17All Scripture is breathed
out by God and profitable for teaching, for
reproof, for correction, and for training in
righteousness, that the man of God may be
competent, equipped for every good work.

2 Peter 134His divine power has granted to
us all things that pertain to life and godliness,
through the knowledge of him who called us to his
own glory and excellence, by which he has granted
to us his precious and very great promises, so
that through them you may become partakers of the
divine nature, having escaped from the corruption
that is in the world because of sinful desire.

2. We need Gods Spirit

1 Corinthians 213-14And we impart this in
words not taught by human wisdom but taught by
the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to
those who are spiritual. The natural person does
not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for
they are folly to him, and he is not able to
understand them because they are spiritually
discerned.

John 1416-17And I will ask the Father, and he
will give you another Helper, to be with you
forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world
cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor
knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you
and will be in you.

John 167Nevertheless, I tell you the truth it
is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do
not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But
if I go, I will send him to you.

Psalm 652O you who hears prayer, to you shall
all flesh come.

Psalm 14518-19The Lord is near to all who call
on him, to all who call on him in truth. He
fulfills the desire of those who fear him he
also hears their cry and saves them.

name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy
may be full.
