• Jonathan took off the robe he was wearing and

  his sword, his bow and his belt. (v4)

• If the king wishes to honor someone, he should
  bring out one of the kings own royal robes, as
  well as a horse that the king himself has ridden
  one with a royal emblem on its head. Let the
  robes and the horse be handed over to one of the
  kings most noble officials. And let him see that

  as something to cling to. Instead, He gave up His
  divine privileges He took the humble position of
  a slave and was born as a human being. When He
  appeared in human form, He humbled himself in
  obedience to God and died a criminals death on a
