PowerNotes Allows You To

• Create a note or comment and attach it to a key
  field in StarBuilder
• Send/receive messages to and from StarBuilder
  users
• Organize notes into subjects
• View, edit, or remove existing notes

Frequently Used Functions

• Creating a note

  other users on your StarBuilder system

Access to PowerNotes

• Any user with access to the StarBuilder system
  can create a note.
• Notes can be created using the PowerNotes option
  from the main screen, or, in some windows, by
  selecting the button
• Only two people can edit a note
• The user who created the note
• The Notes Administrator

Private Notes

• A note can be flagged either private or not
  private.
• Private notes can be viewed and edited only by
  the person who created the note or the Notes
  Administrator.
• Both the sender and the receiver can view a
  private note sent to another user.
• Any user can view non-private notes.

Subject Codes

• Lets you group notes by topic.
• Allows you to select, by these codes, the notes
  you want to view or print.

Attaching/Detaching a Note

  beyond the original attachment formed when you
  created the note.

Notes Administration

• At least one employee should be designated as the
  Notes Administrator.
• Notes Administrator set up in User ID Codes

• The Notes Administrator has the following access
  that no other user has
• Can edit any note on the system, including
  private notes and notes created by other users.
• Can print a detail report.
• Can view any note, including private notes
  created by other users.
• Can print any note, including private notes
  created by other users.
• Can purge notes marked for removal.
