• Segregation is the policy of
• separating different kinds of people
• In the 1930s blacks were
• separated from white people
• Black people drank from water
• fountains than whites
• Black people couldnt ride buses
• Black people couldnt eat in fancy restaurant
  like the white people.
• Black people had cheaper stuff than the white
  people.

• During the 1952-1953 white people
• hade different schools from black people.
• Black people got all the old stuff
• that was ripped and white people
• got busses, new materials, and a better
• schools
• Black people knew it wasn't fair,
• they challenged the doctrine of
• "separate but equal" that existed in
• elementary and high schools
• One day black people were in the
• same school as white people and it was all over
  the news. It was a big deal to the white people
  but still they could not do a thing
