Title: Jewish Poker League

1
Jewish Poker League
  • A non-denominational, non-profit,
    non-discriminatory, non-serious, group of guys
who like to play poker, drink, and smoke on a
    regular basis
  • Registration/scheduling handled online at
    www.azjpl.org
  • First-timers come as guest. IF WE LIKE YOU, you
    can register at the site.
  • (Part of the No Dicks Rule)

2
Confirmed Players List
  • Go to the site, click on a date youd like to
    play, and sign up.
  • Reminder E-mails are sent automatically to all
    players and host.
  • If your name appears as an alternate, check
back to see if other players have dropped out. If
so, your name may be pulled up into the confirmed
    players list.
  • If you need to cancel, do so asap, as other
players are waiting for a seattheres almost 40
of us now, so be polite.

3
Directions to Host
  • When you register, youll be asked to complete
    directions to your house.
  • When you volunteer to host, those directions will
automatically be posted for that date and sent to
all confirmed players in an E-mail.
  • Note whether you can hold 1 or 2 tables.

4
Hand Hierarchy
  • 5 of a Kind (w/wild cards) (K,K,K,K,K)
  • Straight or Royal Flush (5,6,7,8,9 in same suit)
  • 4 of a Kind (Q,Q,Q,Q)
  • Full House (10,10,10, A, A)
  • Flush (2,6,9,J, A in same suit)
  • Straight (7,8,9,10,J in mixed suits)
  • 3 of a Kind (7,7,7, 4,K)
  • 2 Pair (A,A, 8,8, 4)
  • 1 Pair (K,K,5,7,9)
  • High Card (A,K,8,5,2)

5
NO SNIVELING
  • In other words, no backing in to winning hands
  • If you go BOTH, you MUST win both halves
    outright
  • If you go BOTH and lose to any hand, high or low,
    you are out
  • The only exception is tying on a 6-4-3-2-1 Low.
(House rule You cannot be penalized for going
both with a perfect low hand)
  • If you lose to a player going for a BOTH hand,
you are out--even if another player beats the
BOTH hand for the other half of the pot. In that
case, the whole pot goes to the only player to
    beat the BOTH hand

6
Whats a Freakin Low?
  • The worst possible hand you can get.
  • 6-4-3-2-1 in mixed suits is the best. No
straight, no flush, no nuthin--just crap.
  • 1-2-3-4-5 is a STRAIGHT, unless called before the
deal of a specific game by the dealer
  • If you go Low with a high hand, the opposite
order of Hand Hierarchy applies (1 Pair beats 2
    Pair, etc.)

7
General House Rules
  • If you host, NO MILLER BEER
  • Get to the site asap if you have to cancel
  • 20 buy-in for chips 5 per man to the host for
