8SAPG Responsibilities
- The mapping of current learning and training
provision in the area - The identification of gaps in provision
- The planning and location of new provision
- Setting targets to improve participation,
retention, achievement and success rates for
14-19 year olds in the area - Ensuring that young people have access to high
quality learning opportunities and personal
support
9SAPG Responsibilities
- Securing impartial information, advice and
guidance for all young people in the area - Ensuring that arrangements are in place allowing
young people to access the provision that meets
their needs and aspirations - The efficient allocation of resources, the
identification of unnecessary duplication of
provision and the development of plans to
increase value for money - Monitoring and evaluation of provision in the
area - Developing education business links within the
strategic planning area
