1Welcome to TeachMate when you first open the
programme, you can select whether to log in as a
teacher or a pupil
2Lets log in as a teacher, the default is
administrator but you can create unlimited
numbers of teacher users for yourself!
3The teachers interface from here you can
control all aspects of TeachMate and view your
latest marking stats!
Here you can send messages to other teachers
Here you can search for info on pupils
View login activity and check for other users
All your marking stats in one easy location
Create projects, download markbooks etc!
4The Admin Centre which is only available to
designated teachers. Here you can create
subjects, classes, teachers, pupils and the
all-important database back-up!
You can also upgrade from earlier versions of the
programme
5Creating a pupil is simplicity itself. You can
type names into the form, or import them from an
Excel spreadsheet
If a student abuses the programme you can even
suspend their login access!

6You can create teachers here too, and decide
whether you want them to have Head of Department
and/or Administrator privileges. Assign an email
address to them too if you wish.
7Back to the teacher interface and time to create
a project
Give the project a title and an explanation which
can be as detailed as you wish
You can share the project with other teachers in
your Department to save them inputting the
details!
8When you have set a project for the class, you
can optionally choose to track homework.
Click here when the appropriate pupil has handed
their work in
9As pupils hand in their homework, their names
appear in the markbook which you can then
complete
Write an optional comment on the pupils work
which you can choose to make private from them!

TeachMate calculates the percentages for you
automatically
Auto-email an assessment to your pupils with one
click!
10If you have a class doing projects in groups, you
may want to enter comments for multiple students.
Tick the names and write your comment!
11Meanwhile, the pupils can login and view their
marks, comments and add self-assessments
New assessments appear here students can also
download their markbook in Word format
Pupils can view their archive marks and comments

have decided whether work should be self-assessed
when creating the project

13One click and she has access to her summary
report, including average attainment. This can
also be downloaded into Word format straight to
her disk.
14Once the marking and any self-assessments are
complete, its time to print project reports
Various options are available here you can
print an individual report or a whole class.
These reports contain the marks/grades/teacher
comments and pupil self-assessments something
for the pupils to store with pride!
15The marking is done, and you may want to check
progress on individual pupils
Email the student with some feedback, or monitor
them, which will give the Head of Department a
special alert on their progress
Age automatically calculated here!
Having searched for a pupil, you can check their
summary academic report, or view archive project
comments written by all teachers using TeachMate!
Are they achieving in other subjects?
16There is a whole variety of options for
downloading your data print a markbook or store
it in Excel format giving it a name of your
choice.
