organization system (CTOS) "Cobra".
The system the COBRA is a basis for the
information environment of any discipline.
We prepare the information (computer)
environment under the theory of mechanisms and
machines on .
We widely use it in all educational procedures.

Machine Mechanics and ADS department of the adm.
Nevelskoi Maritime State University, since 1990.
We use the special automated systems the VSE,
the DYNAMO, the COBRA, APM and others in computer
technologies practically in all educational

discipline.

The system can be operated locally and in the
network mode.
The requirements to computer configuration
for installing CTOS "Cobra" are as follows

• Pentium 100 and above
• 32 Mb RAM
• Windows 95 (and above) or Windows NT 4.0.

The shell without filling occupies not more than
6 Mb. The volume is increasing and depends on the
filling of methodical and statistical materials
connected with further mastering and use of the
system.

Cobra.exe is intended for trainees.
Teacher.exe is intended for specialists, who
prepare the system for learning, fill the system
with contents .
Analizer.exe a module for analysis of test
results.

A cascade menu allowing choose a discipline, a
subject of testing and a type of the test task is

Module Teacher.exe - is installed together with
the module Cobra.exe on teachers' or employee's
PCs, who prepare the system for use in education
process.
This module allows editing the filling of the
shell, forming and correction of lists of
students, forming and correction of tests,
connecting calculation packages and it has
another functions.

to connect files with the graphic information.
To each discipline there corresponds the
list to those and the list of kinds of test
tasks. In system of 5 types of test tasks.

five kinds of test tasks or on several of them.

A test task, implying choice of one correct
answer of five offered.
Questions and answers were performed as text
information. This test is one of the first type
appeared in testing practice.

A test task implying choice of one correct
answer.
One question and five variants of answers
appear on the screen in the manner of graphic
image. Variants of correct answers are indicated
in a special window.
This type of the test tasks allows present
graphic information in the manner of schemes,
drawings, photographs, and promotes the
development of the logical thinking, which is
important when solving creative engineering
tasks.

Type of the test task - "YES-No"
("Correct/Wrong")
A form of the test task, implying choice of
several correct answers from five offered.
There is five answers on each
question , which flashed in the screen serially,
each time in the other order (by a principle of
casual distribution).
This excludes the possibility of guessing the
answer and allows work out the ability to take
the multi-version decisions of one and the same
problem.

Type of the grafic task - Tasks
The form of the test task connected to the
decision of engineering problems and also with
reading by understanding of drawings. Two
variants are possible.
First - a decision of one simple task,
for which five different sets of input parameter
are assigned.
Second - a complicated task, for which an
algorithm- like decision in the manner of
separate stages is offered on the screen. Results
of solving (answers) are entered from the
keyboard in specially assigned windows.

Type of the test task - "Typing on a keyboard"
A test task, which can be used for remembering of
the wordings of the main laws, theorems,
determi--nations and other unambiguous notions by
typing them on a keyboard.
On termination of the testing, a window with
estimation of an answer and commentaries appears
on the screen. Information is exported in module
"Analyzer" for further processing, viewing and
printing.
