• Statistic The average consumer drank 54.2
  gallons of soda in 2002 (578 cans)
• Soft drinks do not have any nutritional value (in
  terms of vitamins and minerals). They have higher
  sugar content, higher acidity, and more additives
  such as preservatives and colorings.

Caffeine A central nervous system stimulant

• Increases alertness
• Reduces fine motor coordination
• Causes insomnia, headaches, nervousness, and
  dizziness
• Can be lethal if 10g or more is taken in
• Takes about 6 hours for ½ caffeine to be
  eliminated from system
