What is a Blizzard?

• A blizzard is a lot of snow that falls in a short
  period of time.
• A blizzard makes big snowdrifts.

What Causes a Blizzard

• Blizzards form when air masses meet and forms a
  front. The front makes warm air rise. As it
  rises, the air cools and clouds form. Snow is
  made by water droplets and a blizzard is formed.

• Sometimes blizzards cause a condition called a
  whiteout.
• They may pile up huge snowdrifts that completely
  disrupt daily life.
