Scotland Act, 2003)
It is particularly important that communities
are involved in the planning and delivery of
services at a local level, as it is at this level
that agencies can come together to work with
communities to address local problems and
concerns in a way which cannot be achieved at a
Council-wide level alone.

were charged with leading the process. - The Neighbourhood Partnership Networks provide a
mechanism for co-ordinating partner agencies
input. - The Building Stronger Communities Theme Group and
the Community Learning Partnership provide
strategic direction and support. - The Chief Executive of DCC meets NPN Chairs and
Communities Officers every 2 months - Local Community Plans formally approved by the
Dundee Partnership Management Group and Dundee
City Council.
