Victorian Government Funding to Private RTOs

    (PETP)

  • Category Four additional funding (0.5m) to
    purchase pre-apprenticeships.

Government Funded Training Program (GFTP)
  • Prices paid per ATTP Student Contact Hour (SCH)
    may be found on our website.
  • Prices range from approx 5.50 - 13.50 per SCH
    (average 2,900 per apprentice/traineeship pa).
  • Prices paid per PETP SCH are provided via a
    Purchase Schedule.
  • RTOs must also charge student fees of 1.31 per
    SCH
  • minimum fee of 51 (based on 40 hrs tuition rate)
  • maximum fee of 839 (based on 640 hrs tuition
    rate)
  • concessions for students with concession cards of
    51 or nil (in exceptional circumstances)

2006 Funding Opportunities
  • 2006 tender for government funding closed in
    November 2005.
  • Applications for ATTP funding were invited from
    non funded RTOs with scope and experience in
    delivering to apprentices / trainees in skill
    shortage areas.
  • Non currently PETP funded RTOs were not eligible
    to apply for PETP in 2006.
  • Expression of Interest for funding for Existing
    Employee Apprentices open until December 2006.
  • All RTOs need to demonstrate business viability
    (including financial) and compliance with the
    AQTF.

2007 Tender
  • Planning process has commenced regarding
    appropriate purchasing models for ATTP, PETP,
    pre-apprenticeships and for other initiatives
    from the Skills Statement.
  • RTO eligibility criteria and mode of purchasing
    will reflect Governments purchasing priorities.
  • Usually tender opens in September.
