• He wandered through China, giving advice to the
  rulers

• Founded by Kung Fu Tzu (pronounced Confucius in
  English)
• He was born in 551 BCE during a period of great
  moral laxity in China

Practices

• The Marriage process is relatively simple
• After each party pays their dowry, the groom
  takes the bride with him.
• The morning after, the bride cooks for the
  grooms parents, and then they reciprocate.

• At Death, the relatives cry out to inform the
  neighbors
• They wear clothing of coarse fabric
• Money and incense arrive with the mourners
• Food and significant objects are placed into the
  coffin
• A priest performs the ceremony
• Liturgies are performed through the third
  anniversary of death
