• CJK vernacular user interface opened the OCLC
  WorldCat to library end-users
• FS vernacular sessions count ca. 2.18 of all FS
  sessions since July 2002
• 75,689 (3.95) in Nov. 30- Dec. 31, 2002 as high
• 46,238 (1.29) in Jan. 31- Feb. 28, 2003 as low
• Local holdings information is displayable, if
  loaded

  resource sharing easier and faster

CJK Technical Update

• CJK database scan is underway to prepare to
  transfer to Oracle Unicode database system
• CJK record with invalid code(s) wont make it
  into new environment OCLC is contacting
  libraries to correct input work
• CJK cataloging maintains MARC 21 framework until
  Connexion CJK comes in
• Any NACO worker with OCLC Connexion? If so,
  comply with new diacritics handling

  to increase cataloging productivity

  Web technology is in local OPAC systems
