Upper Fulling Pits Play Area Garrington Close,
Vinters Park

This flyer and questionnaire is for people who
reside in and around Garrington Close
Maidstone Borough Council has received 35,000
from Big Lottery funding to upgrade the play
facility at Upper Fulling Pits on Garrington
Drive in Vinters Park. The Council will also add
29,000 to this funding to deliver a play
improvement scheme worth 64,000. The
Council has engaged HAGS Play as their partner
for the scheme to follow on from the success of
HAGS involvement with various play area
improvements such as Mote Adventure Zone and
South Park. As this area is able to offer a
unique play experience due to the topography and
layout of the site, Hags play experts have
developed a play plan which is structured
accordingly based on the way local children
already use the area. This site is a mature,
natural spot within the urban landscape and the
intention is to improve this area taking the
natural space into consideration. The play
opportunities available to children will be
enhanced and local families will be able to use
the site on a more regular basis. We would now
like to know your thoughts on this improvement
plan. In the middle of this leaflet is a map of
the area and on the back a drawing of the plan
Hags has developed. Please take a look and then
use the comments section provided to let us know
your views.
