• Born on February 14, 1962 in Shreveport,
  Louisiana passed away May 7, 2002 9
• Oldest adopted child of four 9
• At age 11, discovered makeup and tested on his
  little sister 2
• The passion of the artistry began!
• Dropped out of high school at 15 7
• Attended beauty school after high school 9
• Met boyfriend of the next 8 years, Jed Root who
  would later be his agent and then start his own
  well-known agency 9
• Worked at Goldcheaux in Baton Rouge, selling
  skincare and cosmetics 6
• Left Louisiana for New York City in 1983 9
• Kevyns career takes off in NYC!

• Developed a luxury cosmetics product line which
  is sold at Barneys New York, Bergdorf Goodman and
  other high end department stores 6
• Worked in television, editorial, movies and
  videos for major leading ladies such as Tina
  Turner, Cher, Tori Amos and Oprah Winfrey 7
• Developed a color scheme line with Revlon
  Nakeds 10
• Authored three beauty books 9
• Making Faces became Americas 1 Beauty Book 6
• Achieved top rates for a makeup artist 6000 -
  7000 per day 6
• Worked on 18 American Vogue covers in a three

• From 1987-88, Kevyn worked on 9 Vogue covers in a

  dropping out of high school at 15

  into a top tier, raising the bar for other
  artists
