Filing a report
  • When you finish each page you will notice a
    button near the bottom of the page. DO NOT press
    this button until you are ready to file the
    ENTIRE report. If the button is hit it will send
    your report and you will have to fill out a new
    one if your original was not complete.

Select the appropriate regulator agency. If the
site is in Asheville, it will French
Broad-Asheville. This is the person that will
receive your report.

  • When you are ready to find your spot on your map,
    you can zoom in/ by clicking on the plus/minus
    sign
  • It is easiest to make sure the area you want to
    focus in on is in the center of your screen
    before zooming in
  • It may be easier to find your location (up to the
    street) by zooming in slowly.
  • By clicking on any of the other arrows you will
    move the focus of the screen left/right/up/down

  • If you wish to change the view of your map you
    can click on any of the four circled icons.
  • To get back to the original view click on the
    map icon
  • NOTE if you are using a mouse with a scroll
    wheel, moving the wheel will make the map zoom in
    or out!

you are reporting in. Lets use North Carolina as
the example

zoomed into the state you are reporting in zoom
into the city/area where you wish to report. Lets
use Asheville as an example

  • In order to find the exact location of your site
    it may be easier to switch to the satellite view.
    This will allow you to view the streets
    dimensionally.

  • This is the exact same view as the last slide
    only in satellite view.
  • If you lose your bearings go back to which ever
    view is easiest to navigate and continue from
    there

  • Lets pretend the circled area is the area where
    the violation has taken place. When you are ready
    to place a marker on the map double click on the
    location that the violation has occurred. A
    marker should now show up (see next slide)

  • Once you have added the pin to the map you are
    finished with this page!
  • BE CAREFUL once you have placed the marker on
    the map and you choose to remove it, you will not
    be able to place a new marker on the map unless
    you refresh and redo the entire page.

  • Click browse to add photos.

Browse to the location of your photos, click the
photo you want, and then click open

Very large files can be uploaded (up to 10mb)
  • Select the photo you want and then click upload

  • Your picture will appear. To add addition
    pictures, click add another item.

Submit Report Card
  • When you have filled out everything you need.
    Click Save to Submit the report to the regulator
    that you picked!

Finished Report Card
  • The system will tell you that your report
    card was created, email you a copy, send a copy
    to the regulator, and send copy to the
    Riverkeeper.
