16CHANGE project (Sept 2008 Sept 2010)
The CHANGE project helps SMEs to optimise their
energy use by creating Intelligent energy
contact points (advisors) in 61 Chambers of
Commerce and Industry (CCIs) from 12 European
countries.
- CCI advisors will be provided with training on
energy efficiency and application of renewable
energy. - They will act as first ports of call for SMEs
in energy matters. - They will actively promote intelligent energy
among the business community via websites,
newsletter articles and gt11,000 information
events. - They will facilitate energy pre-checks and
surveys for gt 500 SMEs.

A Europe-wide campaign for better driving carried
out by National Energy Agencies in 9 countries
- A similar campaign carried out in 2004 in the
Netherlands reduced CO2 emissions between 97,000
and 222,000 tonnes
