Gable Roof Assembly
First step in roof assembly is to install a safe
work platform.
Tack it in place for safety.
Plywood works well.
Place the laid-out ridgeboard on top.
Nail two rafters to the ridgeboard.

Gable Roof Assembly
Raise this unit up and support with 2x4 posts.
Nail the birds mouth securely.
It may also need to be temporarily braced.

Install opposite rafters to create the roof shape.
Plumb the ridge to the end wall and brace.
Install the remaining rafters in opposing pairs.

Fill in the remaining rafters and ridgeboard in a
similar manner.
