• Not continuously dynamic load - regulation not
  applicable
• Difficult to balance the transformer volt-second
  product
• off-the-shelf controller may be difficult to
  pause

• Fixed width, fixed frequency control
• Width fixed by sample of transistor current
• non-identical transistor characteristics could
  cause flux walking to one direction of the B-H
  curve

• Use R-S Latches and logic gates to signal
