5A Letter Asking For Support
- August 22, 2007
- Dear
- The Association for Childhood Education
International or A.C.E.I. is a professional
educators organization that has been in
existence in the United States since 1892.
Members have worked together using the pioneering
theory of Friedrich Froebel and expanded their
focus after the war in 1946 to help children
throughout the world because of the challenges to
education internationally. A student branch was
opened in 1999 at the University of Houston-Clear
Lake with candidates in the certification program
for teaching. Currently, we are looking forward
to a new school year and all the possibilities
for professional growth as well as maximizing
student members learning experiences. We are
hoping that Lakeshore Learning will also share in
our vision and mission statement. - The mission of the Association for Childhood
Education International (ACEI) is to promote and
support in the global community the optimal
education and development of children from birth
to early adolescence and to influence the
professional growth of educators and the efforts
of others who are committed to the needs of
children in a changing society. Our award winning
Deer Park outreach program is going into its
fifth year. We also plan on helping special needs
children in Baytown September 8th which gives you
only two examples of how we fulfill our
organizations mission. - The ACEI candidates at UHCL are hoping that
Lakeshore Learning Materials would be willing to
support our student branch through a generous
donation. Any amount that you can give is greatly
appreciated and will significantly help us to
achieve our goals for this years events. We will
be happy to spotlight Lakeshore Learning
Materials on our campus during the Student Life
Fair, monthly meetings and any campus event that
attracts education candidates in exchange for
your support to our organization. We will hand
out catalogs, the bookmark fliers about teacher
workshops and provide directions to your Baybrook
store which is less than 5 miles from our campus. - Thank you for your support,
- Marlene Morgan
