16USFDA Food Export Registration Requirements
- Owners, operators, or agents in charge of
domestic or foreign facilities that
manufacture/process, pack or hold food for human
or animal consumption in the U.S. - Foreign facilities may choose to designate their
U.S. agent as their agent-in-charge for purposes
of registration - The U.S. agent must reside or maintain a place of
business in the United States

facility is a subsidiary. - All trade names the facility uses.

agent.

- FDA strongly encourages electronic registration
- Registrants must use Form 3537 to register a
facility or update a registration. - Can be found at www.fda.gov/furls, which will
operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week

22US Export Prior Notice Requirements
- Must be received and confirmed electronically
- No more than 5 days before arrival
- No fewer than

be accompanied by confirmation of FDA receipt of
prior notice)
