The Issue
  • Most employers, both proprietary and contract,
    conduct some sort of site-specific training to
    orient the new employee to his or her job. This
    often follows no standard format and consists of
    an existing employee, usually with no background
    as a trainer, walking the new person through the
    policies and procedures at the particular
    facility. To make matters worse, there is
    usually no quality control and no attempt is made
    to evaluate the effectiveness of the training.

    more likely to incorporate how to make a course
    effective.
  • This information will enhance the ability of
    security officers to develop and present their
    own unique training.
