2ABOUT THET Who we are A UK based health
charity committed to improving basic health
services in developing countries. What we do
We develop and promote long-term partnerships
called Links between UK health institutions and
their counterparts in developing countries. We
work with Links to pilot initiatives and scale up
work, addressing wider needs. We advocate best
practice and influence policy.

- Health Links allow for the reciprocal transfer of
skills and knowledge between health workers in
developing countries and the UK. - THET works closely with Links to provide advice,
support and guidance. Other ways of support
include - Fundraising and donor liaison
- Project management
- Ensure projects align with in-country
government plans - Monitoring and evaluation

- THET has helped to foster over 100 Links with
health institutions in more than 25 countries
around the world. - THET has worked in partnership with Links to
scale up projects to address wider needs. We have
carried out training and health systems
strengthening programmes in - Ethiopia

- Malawi
- Somaliland
- Uganda

- Objectives
- Programme equip the students with the necessary
teaching skills to work as a nurse teacher in
Somaliland. - My objective to teach educational approaches to
community and primary care nursing module of the
nurse teacher training programme, ensuring that
students receive an introduction to education
theory which is fit for purpose. - Assist the teaching team in running the module
and developing an assessment strategy for the
module.
