Job Description
- The definition and implementation of system
level test strategies for telecommunication
Optical and Wireline products. - Supporting the Operations team in the
commissioning of Nortel equipment to the customer
required date in a TL9000 compliant environment. - Working with the New Business Solutions team in
the introduction of new products into volume
production. - The monitoring and improvement of product
performance following Lean/Six Sigma principles. - Interfacing on technical issues with various
internal and external bodies. - Responsibility for installation commissioning
of Optical Wireline products on customer sites. - Responsibility for test specification plans and
the specification of test hardware for the
development of automated test solutions.
Skills/Experience
- Honours Degree in Electrical/Electronic
Engineering or equivalent. - Understanding of Telecommunications, including
SDH networks and IP Data internetworking. - Understanding of Lean/Six Sigma processes is
desirable. - Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Skills/Experience

OO Design, Windows UNIX Operating Systems - Experience of developing software to interface
