SeETL 3.0 Beta A Now Available!

• 1/7/2006 SeETL 3.0 Beta A now available.
• Today we are very pleased to announce the general
  availability of SeETL DesignTime and RunTime 3.0
  Beta A.
• Over the last 8 months we have been working on 2
  major changes to our products. The first major
  change is the rebranding of the Instant Data
  Warehouse product to SeETL Runtime. We have
  also renamed SeETL to SeETL DesignTime.
• We have changed our ETL Products to be branded as
  SeETL, as in you can see your ETL. SeETL is
  also a generic ETL product so we have removed the
  specific reference to Data Warehousing for the
  products.
• This change has led to a change in packaging our
  products in line with out rebranding. The second
  major change is yet to be announced, so watch
  this space.
• We have added lots and lots of new features to
  it. These features are covered in detail in the
  User Guide and Appendices.
• The highlights are
• SeETL. The SeETL DesignTime Spreadsheet has been
  dramatically expanded to include many more
  definition worksheets. For example, we have
  introduced the ability to document source file
  definitions, Informatica Mappings and DataStage
  Jobs. We will be further enhancing the SeETL
  DesignTime Spreadsheet to include the ability to
  generate more components of the ETL Subsystem.
• More Reports.We have added many new reports to
  publish components of the ETL Subsystem. All the
  data in the SeETL DesignTime Spreadsheet are now
  exposed via the reports. We have included the
  ability to generate Informatica and DataStage
  programmer specifications from the SeETL
  DesignTime Spreadsheet.

• IDW table/program name changes.The Instant Data
  Warehouse as a product has been renamed to SeETL
  Runtime. To move the product to a more generic
  cross platform ETL tool we have renamed all
  tables and programs to reflect the new name of
  SeETL. For the transition period of IDW 2.1 to
  SeETL 3.0 we have maintained support of the old
  table names by using views with the old names to
  point to the new tables. IDW 2.1 will run on top
  of SeETL 3.0 tables with no other changes.
• Platform for extending functionality.The biggest
  change is by changing the current products to
  being generic cross platform ETL products we are
  putting in the platform for being able to more
  easily extend the functionality of the product.
  To add more functions now we merely need to add
  more worksheets to the SeETL DesignTime
  Spreadsheet, load them into the target database,
  and add new functions to SeETL Runtime. We
  already have numerous new sets of functions we
  are working on.
• We are very pleased and excited about SeETL.
• SeETL enables codeless push button ETL and an
  endlessly scalable cross platform ETL engine. No
  other vendor produces a tool that can be moved
  between platforms as easily as SeETL. No other
  ETL product comes close to SeETL in terms of cost
  benefit. We are pleased to have delivered the
  next breakthrough in making Instant Business
  Intelligence available to all companies.
