Interceptor Improvement Program
  • In March of 2002 the Implementation approved
    the design and construction of the Interceptor
    projects 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7.
  • Recall that Interceptor project 6 goes from
    Lift Station D to the new treatment facility
    location.
  • Design and construction of project 1 is
    complete.
  • Design of projects 2, 3, 4, and 5 are underway.
  • Design of project 7 has been on hold due to
    funding limitations.

Interceptor Improvement Program
  • With the 2004 Fiscal Year about to begin, it is
    time to consider the next round of interceptor
    projects.
  • If approved by this Committee, staff will issue
    Request For Proposals for projects 8 and 9.
  • If approved by this Committee, staff will
    complete contract negotiations with the
    consultant chosen for project 7.
  • Following is a summary review of project 7, 8,
    and 9 as previously presented to the Wastewater
    Master Plan Implementation Committee.

Summary
  • The proposed projects follow the recommendation
    of the Wastewater Master Plan and previously
    presented materials.
  • Scheduling of projects has considered the
    availability of excise tax and sales tax funds in
    order to facilitate implementation under the
    pay-as-you-go requirements associated with the
    sales tax (excise tax funded projects may be
    financed over the useful life of the
    improvements).
  • Projects beyond these listed in this
    presentation will begin to rely on more funding
    from the excise tax revenues.
