How Does it Work?
Borrowing Items
6
Jackie cant find More science experiments you
can eat / by Vicki Cobb in your Web catalog, so
shes logging onto MORE (ZPORTAL) to request the
item.
Her request is going to be analyzed by the VDX
software to see who has this item and then will
send the request to an applicable library. Staff
at this library will pull the item and ship it to
you.
Delivery takes 3-14 days depending on where the
item comes from and the of days your library
and the lending library has delivery.
You log into MORE to Mark the items received
and add a dumb item barcode. Workflows will
automatically create a hold for this item for
Jackie.
You receive the items from U.S. Cargo on your set
delivery days.
7
Shell take the book home under your checkout
policies.
Let Jackie know that her book has arrived so she
can pick it up in the Library.
When Jackie Returns the item, place the item with
return shipping info in your U.S. Cargo back and
send it back.
The lending library will check it back in and
place the item back on their shelves.
