The Victory Suite is the name for our new
Learning Support area. It is staffed all day from
840 a.m., including both breaks. A homework club
operates everyday. The Suite aims to support all
students in the school to reach their highest
potential, across the curriculum, whatever their
needs, in a safe and secure atmosphere.

• All students with learning difficulties are
• entitled to access to a broad and balanced
• curriculum, delivered as far as possible in the
• mainstream classes.  However, it is recognised
• that the interest of the students who require
• further support in the basic skills may be best
• served by reducing their "timetabled" lesson in
• some subjects in order that they can receive
• individual help or direct instruction in small
• groups.

• How do we help?
• a) Student Co-ordinators refer students to the
  Suite Managers
• b) Individually designed learning programmes in
  particular subjects
• c) Direct help from teachers or TAs in lessons
• d) Individual or small group intervention
  programmes
• e) Individual education plans - involving
  planning, reviews of progress and setting new
  targets.

• How are you involved?
• Your knowledge, views and experience as parents
  are vital in helping us to help your child
  develop. We want to work together with you in
  partnership. If you have a concern about your
  child's progress, come and talk to us. We want
  to help.

• In Miltoncross each Student
• Coordinator is responsible for the
• welfare and Special Needs of the
• students in his/her year group.
• If you have any concerns please telephone
• the school to make an appointment with the
• relevant Student Coordinator for your
• Child so that you can share those concerns.
