• Provides information resource and security
  management support and services for the Office of
  Technology Integration (OTI) and the campus as a
  whole.
• Liaison with, and is responsible for, regular and
  ad hoc reporting to the Florida Board of
  Governors, Division of Colleges and Universities
  and other entities on information technology and
  security related matters.
• Reviews and analyzes all legislative proposals on
  information technology and related security
  matters for their potential impact on the
  University.

• Oversight of the OTI Administrative Office,
  includes University Software Licensing.
• Responsible for the gathering and analysis of
  annual Integrated Technology Plans from FSU
  units. See Handout.
• Coordinates preparation of the OTI annual budget
  submission.
• Coordinates administrative , financial,
  technical, and legal sufficiency reviews on OTI
  and Enterprise level IT hardware, software,
  services -- bids, contracts, MOUs.

• Reviews and approves all technology acquisitions
  for the University whose cost is 20K or above.
• Reviews facilities planning and construction
  programs for compatibility with related IT
  standards specifications and guidelines.
• Responsible for the oversight, coordination and
  follow-up of IT auditing related activities with
  the Chief Auditor, Florida Auditor General and
  related entities.

• Responsible for implementing and maintaining a
  campus-wide Data and Network Security Strategy
  and enabling programs. See Handout.
• Responsible for identifying, recommending and
  implementing information technology and related
  security policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Responsible for performing and maintaining risk
  analyses to assess the potential threats to data
  and other IT resources.
• Joint (OTIltgtOAS) Server Security Audits of Campus
  Units
• Coordinates University responses to IT security
  breaches, exposures that threaten the efficacy of
  IT resources or violate policy or law.
