RCP vs. NCP
  • Area of activity only a given region, not a
    whole country
  • Scope of activity all actions of Framework
    Programmes, often other RTD programmes as well
    (international, european, national level)
  • Capacities - better knowledge of regional RTD
    potential

Mission
  • To increase the participation of researchers and
    SMEs in the EU Framework Programmes
  • Long-term goals of RCP should be based on the
    idea of regional development and promotion of
    human resources by dissemination of the
    information on EU FP and ERA.

  • Organisation of events or contribution to events
    conferences, info-days, workshops, exhibitions,
    etc.
  • Publications (Leaflets, Guides, etc.)
  • Information on finance and IPR aspects of funding
    as well as project coordination and management
  • Coordination
  • Cooperation with the National Contact Point
    network (other Regional and Thematic/Local
    Contact Points) and with contact points abroad.
  • Help, coordination and enlargement of the Local
    Contact Points network
  • Cooperation with the regional universities, SMEs,
    research centres, etc.
