- Election process

- Some board members may be running for their seat
again - If youre interested in an area, but not
interested in being on the board, volunteers are
welcome and needed at most board positions
4Board Nominations
- Treasurer currently Sam Gilliss
- Responsible for accurate accounting of all JEFA
financial transactions. - Responsible for receipt and disbursement of all
JEFA funds subject to the will of JEFA. - Responsible for financial reports.
- Coordinate the filing of taxes.
- Coordinate all required financial audits.
- Contribute to the JEFA newsletter.
- Delegate responsibilities as required.

Heckmann - Responsible for procuring and maintaining JEFA
aircraft. - Responsible for all JEFA assets (facilities,
tools and software). - Assist the treasurer in rendering financial
reports. - Contribute to the JEFA newsletter.

- Director of Communications currently Charles
Rush - Create, organize and host social gatherings for
JEFA members. - In partnership with the Director of Membership,
sponsor recruiting activities for prospective
members. - Create and maintain regular communications for
the JEFA membership. - Maintain and contribute to the JEFA website.
- Maintain and contribute to the JEFA newsletter.
- Delegate responsibilities as required.

- Director of Safety currently Alex Pufahl
- Establish and publish guidelines for safe ops
practices. - Coordinate w/ directors of Operations and
Training the requirements and curriculum for
check rides, cross-country qualifications, and
operations. - Review records of member check-rides, licenses,
medical exam. - Review qualifications and recommendations and
submit names of prospective flight instructors
and check pilots for Board approval. - Coordinate with Training Director JEFA-approved
flight instructors and check pilots activities. - Act as Chair of the Safety Committee.
- Help establish Incident and Accident Review Board
(as required). - Contribute to the JEFA newsletter.
- Delegate responsibilities as required.

- Keep the minutes of all meetings.
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas.
- Handle all JEFA correspondence.
- Coordinate and distribute a regular JEFA
Newsletter. - Responsible for all aspects of voting on
governing documents. - Records and announces election results.

- Helped create and incorporate JEFA as one of the
founding Directors - Consistently encouraged a non-punitive and
non-threatening safety philosophy - Created JEFA Safety Handbook and Incident Reports
- Organized several FAA WINGS seminars and
encourage JEFA members to participate in the
WINGS Program (I am a WINGS Level VIII pilot) - Investigated and resolved a few minor safety
incidents - Contributed to JEFA Safety website and newsletter
- Worked to become FAA Aviation Safety Counselor,
designated by Denver FSDO - Coordinated continuously with Ops, Training and
Maintenance - Monitored airplane fleet, instructors, and
membership - Active instrument-rated pilot (C172, DA-40)

priority at JEFA and to continue to foster an
open, non-threatening and non-punitive
safety-conscious environment of learning for all
our pilots and members - I do encourage all interested members to actively
