Community Services and SPE Mission Statement
  • The Mission of the Gulf Coast Section shall
    be the promotion of mutual cooperation in
    furthering the objectives of the Society of
    Petroleum Engineers International, Inc. This
    shall be accomplished by
  • Supporting programs in area primary and secondary
    schools to encourage students to develop their
    abilities in mathematics, science, and
    engineering.
  • Enhancing the image of the Oil and Gas Industry
    by sponsoring community service programs.

Nehemiah Center
  • Our Mission
  • Neighbors helping neighbors create a safe
    haven in which children are motivated, inspired
    and equipped to realize their God-given
    potential.
  • Organization ProfileThe Nehemiah Center opened
    with 22 children in January 1996 and now serves
    over 130 children daily. We are a non-profit 501
    (c)(3) organization, and your contribution is tax
    deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Volunteer at Nehemia Center
  • Kindergarten, Elementary, Middle School, High
    School Volunteers have the opportunity to work
    one-on-one with a student, establishing a unique
    rewarding mentoring relationship in either the
    AEP (After School Enrichment Program) which
    serves children in grades K-6, or the CPP
    (College Prep Program) which serves students in
    grades 7-12.This is usually one afternoon a
    week, from 430-530pm, Monday through Thursday.
