- Carefully selected array of documents, photos,
etc., that show who you are as a teacher. - Written reflections that explain the significance
of these selections - 10 sections, one for each INTASC Standard
4Why Do We Develop Program Portfolios?
- For you -- a chance for you to reflect on what
you are learning and to set targets for
professional growth. - For faculty -- documentation of what you are
learning about teaching (including your
knowledge, skills, and dispositions related to
standards. - For the State of Texas and other accrediting
groups evidence about how well our program
prepares you to teach.

portable, with all documentation fitting easily
inside. You may prepare it in electronic format.
Some PDS Cadres may require electronic format. - For each of the 10 INTASC Standards, you will
include several relevant work samples or
artifacts. - Each Section Coversheet reflection will address
professional growth relevant to one INTASC
Standard.

- The organization of the PROGRAM PORTFOLIO should
include the following - Introductory material (title page, resume,
statement of educational philosophy, table of
contents, etc.) - 10 sections, one for each of the INTASC
Standards. - Each section should be preceded by a Section
Coversheet.
19Do All Portfolios Look Alike?
- No.
- Your portfolio can be online, on a disk, or in a
loose-leaf notebook. - Your portfolio may include photographs, work
samples from your courses, certificates you have
earned, and work that you have helped children
accomplish. - Our goal is for your professional portfolio, as
it changes across time, to be a showcase of what
is unique and outstanding about you and your
teaching.

- You may be asked to submit your Program Portfolio
for the instructor to read and evaluate. - or

one of several ways - Individual conferences
- Group conferences
- Presentation to peers and faculty
22Will My Portfolio Be Useful in Job Interviews?
- Some principals and campus interview teams will
have time to look at your portfolio some will
not. - The time and thought you invest in this PROGRAM
PORTFOLIO will pay off when you can answer all
your interview questions with confidence!
