The Plan

• Ultrakey login Take test
• Watch Video of keyboarder
• Cover keys Take test again
• Explain UltraKey Lesson then Skills Check

Ultra Key Log In

• Open UltraKey Typing Program
• Click Next

• Click on the ASB Ultra Key ASB Ultra Key Host
  (this is a network software)
• Click Connect
• If you do notsee this, go to next slide.

• If you do not see the ASB Ultrakey Server
• Click on Search Network

• Find your class and open
• Click on NewRecord

• Type in yourfirst and last name
• Type in a passworduse the one you usefor the
  network.
• Verify by typing inagain.

• Click on Finish
• The next window will tell you to take a Typing
  Challenge to set your challenge level in the
  program.
• Read the windows.

Ultra Key Log In

• Open UltraKey, Click Next
• Click on ASB Ultrakey - if the next window gives
  you the option if you do not see this click on
  Search Network.
• Open 6th grade and then find your name and Open
• Put in your password

Ultrakey will help determine how you will improve
your keyboarding. Begin working by taking you
through a Typing Level Challenge Click the
forward arrow or strike the Space Bar

This window will help you get ready for the
test. Place your fingers over home row and strike
the space bar. Dont forget to sit up straight.

If you get this error message, slow down and try
again.

This window shows you the errors you made during
the timed test. Look this over and the click on
the arrow key.

Here you will see the Speed and Accuracy for the
test.

Ultrakey then sets your challenge level. It will
be higher than your timed test. You will need to
go to Skills Checks to begin training your self
to meet your challenge level.

• Good posture position movie
• Good finder position and typing movie

• Taking test with fingers covered
• Put on keyboard covers
• Go to the Typing Forum
• Click on Typing Test

• Choose typingTest The WinterBall
• Choose a 3minute test

Tips

• Follow what is on the screen
• Read the screens. It will tell you what to do.
• Try to meet your challenge level using the right
  techniques
• Finish a lesson, then a skills check
• Closing the program - Auto saves your results

Start a Lesson

• Click on the Lesson Module
• Start with Lesson 1. HomeRow
• Go through the stepsin order

Skills Check

• When you finish a lesson a green check will
  mark it finished.
• You will then need to go to the skills check to
  build your speed and accuracy.
