3In 1938, Clear Lake cottage owners met since they
didnt want to miss church when they vacationed
at the lake. Dr. W. G. Polack of Concordia
Seminary, St. Louis was willing to serve as
Pastor in the summer. Overflow attendance at an
old abandoned school convinced them of the need
to build a chapel.
4Can you find Bob Bruick age 12?
5Mr. and Mrs. John Oehler offered to donate
several lots behind their south shore grocery if
a church would be built. On March 30, 1939 a
group met to begin preparing to build.

each day they have a devotional service at the
church. - Under the direction of Project Manager, Harry
Patterson, the laborers gave of their time,
energy, and skills to help us construct our 7091

and 1,753 sq ft of remodeling). - Laborers for Christ were here to assist us in our
building project and members of the congregation
were expected and encouraged to volunteer to work
alongside of them.
