The Pinetree Cookbook
A great way to preserve family favorite recipes
and share authentic ethnic dishes.

• Cookbook will contain favorite recipes from the
  families and staff of Pinetree school.
• Each recipe will have the family name included
  and a picture of the child submitting the recipe!
• Please submit 1 2 different recipes for each of
  your children to take to school. Please include
  your name and your permission to include your
  childs picture with their recipe.
• The Cookbook Committee will collect all the
  recipes from teachers and parents and compile
  them into the 2009 Pinetree Cookbook.
• Forms and submissions are also available through
  the Pinetree PTA website

Chocolate Chip Cookies

• INGREDIENTS
• 1 cup butter, softened 1
  teaspoon baking soda
• 1 cup white sugar 2
  teaspoons hot water
• 1 cup packed brown sugar 3 cups
  all-purpose flour
• 2 eggs 1 cup chopped
  walnuts
• 2 teaspoonsvanilla extract 1/2
  teaspoon salt
• 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips  
• DIRECTIONS
• Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
• Cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown
  sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a
  time, then stir in the vanilla. Dissolve baking
  soda in hot water. Add to batter along with salt.
  Stir in flour, chocolate chips, and nuts. Drop by
  large spoonfuls onto ungreased pans.
• Bake for about 10 minutes in the preheated oven,
  or until edges are nicely browned.

• You do not have to order a cookbook to submit
  your recipe.
• You do not have to submit a recipe if you want
  to purchase a cookbook.
