    assistance programs that were mandated under
    Section 507 of 1990 Clean Air Act (CAAA) and
    discuss air issues that pertain to your
    facilities.

Small Business Environmental Assistance Programs
(SBEAP)
  • Provides detailed technical assistance to help
    small businesses come into or remain in
    compliance with federal and state air
    regulations.
  • Represents small business on federal and state
    air regulatory issues.
  • Develop educational materials

Small Business Ombudsman (SBO)
  • An advocate acting on behalf of small businesses
    as it relates to environmental issues
  • Provides comments on regulatory issues
  • Provides conflict resolution between small
    businesses and state agencies

Compliance Advisory Panel (CAP)
  • Advisory panel for the SBEAP and SBO
  • Made up of small business owners and
    representatives
  • Consults and advises on SBEAP and SBO content
  • Provides Small Business perspective to state
    agencies

  • Free No cost for any of the services provided
    by the 507 programs
  • Non-regulatory The 507 programs do not enforce
    any federal or state regulations
  • Confidential Varies from state to state

  • Less than 100 employees
  • Is not a Major Source under the CAA
  • Emits less than 50 ton/year of a single
    regulated pollutant
  • Emits less than 75 ton/yr of all regulated
    pollutants

    companies to comply with environmental

  • Zero dollars of EPAs FY2007 requested 7.3
    billion budget is directed toward SBEAPs
