EIA has designated ECA as manager of EIA
Standards and Technology (this is the current
operation). This designation has been endorsed
by the governing sectors of EIA, the EIA
Executive Committee and the EIA Board of
Governors. EIA Standards and Technology is the
ANSI-accredited SDO. EIA Standards and
Technology is managed by the EIA Vice President,
Standards and Technology under authority of the
ECA Board of Directors.
5EIA Standards and Technology administers the
development and maintenance of all ECA standards
activity under the EIA brand. EIA Standards and
Technology is committed to the continuation of
domestic and international standards activities
as currently defined under EIA bylaws and EIA
standards and technology policies. EIA Standards
and Technology is fully funded and supported by
allocation of resources by EIA and the commitment
of the ECA Board of Directors. EIA Standards and
Technology will continue its commitment and
support to ANSI, the USNC and the IEC as
currently defined by EIA.
