Background History

• In 2003 BAA identified the need to develop an
  internal wall panelling solution to meet the
  requirements of
• Existing fire performance standards of building
  regulations
• Future Proofing against possible raised future
  fire performance standards

Background History

• MICAM BAA jointly collaborated on the
  development of the SlickFit wall panelling
  system.
• Product installations of 3000sq.m across 9
  projects in 2005/2006 and 2 large projects in
  2007.
• Finalist for Quality In Construction Award for
  Product Innovation in 2006
• Patents granted for SlickFit TM in 2006.

• 12mm thick Class O highly impact resistant
• Flexible - Corner post solutions for 90 degree,
  internal/external acute and obtuse corners,
  Stairwell angled panels, horizontal or vertical
  configurations.

• Innovative - Stainless steel skirting which
  accommodates for floor tolerance variations with
  options for left/right end caps
• Tidy - Cover plates available for socket
  outlets, switches, swipe card readers, fire alarm
  pull stations, etc

Performance

• High impact resistance no trolley rail
  protection required
• Class O" (England Wales Building Regulations)
  and performance under EN 13823 easily compliant
  with the requirements of EuroClass
• High quality reaction to fire performance on
  both sides of the panel with low smoke and low
  toxic fume emission.
• Fixing system eliminates risk of panels becoming
  dislodged typically associated with gravity hung
  systems
• UV resistance to minimise discolouration of
  panels
• Graffiti resistant - can be cleaned with water
• Does not shatter when broken

• Pre-assembled product off-site to minimise
  on-site working time
• Light weight- safe lifting for two people, 25kg
  for 1.2x2.4m
• Product inspection standards provided for
  Installers and Project Teams
• Guidance provided on substrates, tolerances and
  surveys
• No specialist tools required
• Training service and certification provided for
  all installers
• Service Kits provided with panels include all
  necessary screws, fixings, cleaners, adhesion
  promoters, tapes and sundries to allow hassle
  free quick installation.
