  Proposed doubling of EU research budget

  reinforce, and strengthen the impact of national
  actions (collaboration the diffusion of
  knowledge the creation of critical masses of
  financial and human resources etc.)
• FP6 introduced range of initiatives to enhance
  the value added to SMEs and provide more
  structured support.

• There are many actions, measures, levels.
• Maybe too many from an SME perspective
• Improve Transparency and facilitate access
• Creation of one SME Helpdesk under which all
  support measures for SMEs are grouped.
• A step in the good direction
