3Document Numbering
New Numbering agreed with ISO CS and TC 67 Mgt
Following a liaison meeting with ISO CS in Jan
00. At this meeting it was clear that prior ISO
CS agreement to our numbering was controversial.
Negotiated reservation of a block of numbers
19900 to 19909 for Offshore Structures.

WG 3 Fixed Steel Structures -Technical work
virtually complete -Editing work company
supported effort not available from June 00.
OGP JIP initiated to obtain funds and after a
difficult start is now functioning. Objective
is to deliver DIS that can be forwarded to ISO
for ballot by mid 02. - A second JIP is likely
to be needed for DIS to published standard
stage. - Final delivery end 03 - Document is in
use
6Progress 2
WG 4 Fixed Concrete Structures - Work has not
progressed as planned. - Industry demand for
this standard has declined since work
commended. -Technical work virtually complete.
Editing outstanding. - Potential support from
NBR for editing to complete. - Convenor invited
to prepare contingency plan with option to
publish brief document as the standard and the
technical work as a referenced report. - Plan
DIS end 01 and publication mid 03.
7Progress 3
WG5 Floating Structures - 1st complete draft to
SC7 issued June 00 - good document - 2nd draft
as CD planned end 00 - DIS end 01 - FDIS early

WG 7 Site Specific Application of MOUs - Still
developing first draft - Process of alignment of
Industry particularly the contractors who own
and operate the facilities. DIS mid 03? WG?
Arctic Structures - This is off the SC7 work
item list. We are not wanting to take on
additional work given our current difficulty in
delivering, but industry interest is increasing

9Issues
1. Communication effectiveness efficiency.
SC7 website http//sc7.tc67.net/ is now
operational and will be used to enhance
internal external comms. Publicise within
your companies. 2. Anticipate that with
constrained availability of Industry
Specialists we will need to obtain funds to
complete editing tasks. Fixed Steel and
MOUs are the big cost items for editing.
Request TC67 endorsement and support for this
approach.
