• Investigating the Past - Archaeology and
  Historiography (Core) - with a focus on human
  remains.
• Troy - the myth, archaeology and history of the
  site - there is room for a film study.
• Thera - the (probable) real Atlantis OR a choice
  from Deir el-Medina - the Valley of the Kings
  workers the Celts OR Alexandria - home of one
  of the Seven Wonders of the World.
• An Individual Research Project - this gives
  students valuable research skills that will get
  them through University.

  used to present findings , and to ask appropriate
  historical questions and test hypotheses, and to
  evaluate differing perspectives and
  interpretations of the past - good for watching
  the news
• discuss the ethical issues related to ownership
  and investigation of the past - good for
  establishing ones own moral framework

  (Core) - there is a strong archaeology focus,
  including human remains, and disaster scene
  investigation
• An Ancient Society - either Minoans OR Persia
• A Personality - either Hannibal OR Alexander the
  Great - good for developing leadership skills
• A Period-either Rome during the Punic Wars OR
  Greece during the Persian Wars
• Nb. This course is content rich(!)
