  • We will work at your pace, the contracts can be

  • What is the process?
  • You will need to supply a full set of accounts
    and information on the practice income, staffing
    information. We will provide information on
    ChilversMcCrea Healthcare and draft contracts.
  • If you hold a GMS contract we have to inform the
    PCT of the partnership prior to entering into
    partnership.
  • The admission and partnership deeds are signed
    prior to commencement of the partnership and
    terms agreed with you.

  • My premises are leased what will happen?
  • In this situation the partnership takes over the
    lease, this may mean an assignment of the lease.
  • I own my premises what options do I have?
  • We can either lease the premises or put you in
    contact with companies who will purchase the
    premises and lease them back to the partnership.
  • Will you purchase the equipment?
  • We will require an inventory of all equipment and
    a valuation we will purchase the equipment from
    you at market value. Goodwill is a factor here

  • I want to still undertake clinical sessions but
    may want to go part time.
  • We will accommodate your wishes and develop the
    partnership to suit your needs now or in the
    future.
  • In the majority of our partnerships the GPs
    remain in a clinical role and we take on the
    management of the practice.
  • Who will manage the practice?
  • The practice will be managed by ChilversMcCrea
    Healthcare and will receive full management
    support from the central management team and
    regional teams. The practice manager will be
    managed by the regional manager.

  • What happens to my staff?
  • There is no change, they remain in the practice
  • Who deals with the PCT?
  • Jennifer Hurn, Business Development Lead will
    liaise with the PCT
  • What happens to my contract with the PCT?
  • We have to inform the PCT of the partnership and
    once the contracts are signed the PCT will issue
    an amended contract signed by the new partners
  • Can I retire from the partnership?
  • Yes you can retire from the partnership, and you
    have two options, to retire and sign an
    employment contract and become a Salaried GP or
    take retirement
