8OASIS - Architectural aspects
- The OASIS technical overview can be described as
follows - The COE (SP1) is the core of OASIS, based on the
military (NATO) experience - The COE provides the basic infrastructure, in
which other modules (mainly C3I modules - SP3 and
SP4) will be plugable - The communication systems tasks (SP2) aim to
- Define the communication architecture
- Develop the ad-hoc components
- Demonstrate the interoperability and seamless
communication capabilities
9The COE in OASIS
10Some global remarks
- OASIS is targeting the operations during the
crisis - Crisis environment (low speed and unreliable
communications, stress, ) - Set-up time must be reduced
- Changing organisation according to the events
- We want to break the language barrier
- OASIS needs to be a light-weight framework. We
will focus on - Determining the standards which need to be used
- Creating gateways
