Scripture Reading, Acts 11-11

• 9After he said this, he was taken up before
  their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their
  sight.
•     10They were looking intently up into the sky
  as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in
  white stood beside them. 11"Men of Galilee," they
  said, "why do you stand here looking into the
  sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you
  into heaven, will come back in the same way you
  have seen him go into heaven."

Remember Jesus Promise John 141-3

•     1"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust
  in God trust also in me. 2In my Father's house
  are many rooms if it were not so, I would have
  told you. I am going there to prepare a place for
  you. 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I
  will come back and take you to be with me that
  you also may be where I am.

  by THE RESURRECTION!
• Both the call and claim of Jesus on our lives are
  made authentic through THE RESURRECTION!
• Beyond this, our hope and peace are made sure by
  means of THE RESURRECTION!

1 Corinthians 1123-26

• 23For I received from the Lord what I also passed
  on to you The Lord Jesus, on the night he was
  betrayed, took bread, 24and when he had given
  thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body,
  which is for you do this in remembrance of me."
  25In the same way, after supper he took the cup,
  saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my
  blood do this, whenever you drink it, in
  remembrance of me."
• 26For whenever you eat this bread and drink this
  cup, you proclaim the Lord's death
• until he comes.
