- 1800 - Schuylkill Arsenal constructed in
Philadelphia - Arsenal contracted with local seamstresses to
make uniforms by hand in their own homes
- After the War of 1812, the mission changed to
manufacturing, storing and distributing clothing
textile materiel - Hired over 10,000 seamstresses and tailors to
make uniforms during the Civil War

- 1926 Facility renamed Philadelphia
Quartermaster Depot - 1942 Location changes, clothing factory opens
- 1965 Renamed Defense Personnel Support Center
- Mission expands to include Subsistence Medical
functions - 1998 Renamed Defense Supply Center Philadelphia
- 1999 DSCP absorbs the Construction Equipment
mission when the Defense Industrial Supply Center
is disestablished
