• Provider Edge (PE) Router

• Maintains VRFs (Virtual Routing and Forwarding
  instances) for each customer to keep routing
  information separate.
• Provider (P) Router
• Core routers within the service providers MPLS
  network.
• Handles MPLS label switching but does not
  maintain customer-specific routing information.

1. VRF (Virtual Routing and Forwarding)
2. A separate routing table for each customer on the
   PE router, ensuring traffic segregation.
3. Route Distinguisher (RD)
4. A unique identifier added to each route in a VRF

   different customers.
5. Route Target (RT)
6. Used to control the import and export of routes
   in VRFs for route filtering and policy
   implementation.
