12Overview of Oracle Integration Cloud
13Overview of Oracle Integration Cloud
SaaS On-premises Integration
Create the connections that you
want to share data with. Then set up integration,
Which uses the connection you created and defines
how data is shared between your applications.
Business Process Automation
Automate your Business using process application
develop, test, publish and activate. Repeat
whenever changes are needed.
Visual Application Development
Quickly create and publish custom web and
mobile applications using a visual development
tool. Build the pages in your application using
components that you place on a canvas and
integrate with other services. No setup and no
coding required.
Real-Time Analytics and Monitoring
Create a data model, where data can be
extracted from business process and stored.
Further, these extracted data can be processed
and presented as meaningful business metrics.

Sales Orders
- Automate real-time Integration.
- Streamline business process by integrating across
multiple business systems.
16Oracle Integration
- SaaS-to-On-Premises Integration
- Business case Update of opportunities in
salesforce propagated to on-premises Order
management. - The feature enables you to create integrations
and exchange messages between on-premises
applications and Oracle Integration Cloud Service.
17OIC Integration Components
Use adapters to connect to source and target
systems and then extract data from the source
systems, mediate the semantics and technical
differences and publish the data to the target.
Leverage Oracle Public cloud services for storage
and messaging services.
18On-Premises Integration
On-Premises OIC Connectivity Agent
Connectivity agents are the agents that help you
create integrations between on-premises
applications and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
Service.
1
Connectivity Agents are required for Oracle
Integration Cloud to communicate or exchange
messages with on-premise applications like
Database, E-Business Suite, etc.
2
19Integration development and Management workflow
Define connections Identify the Integration
application and configure the connection for the
application.
Step 1
Step 2
Create Integration by dragging these connections
to the designer.
Step 3
Create mapping between the application using
Graphical mapper.
Step 4
Monitor the integration performance using
monitoring dashboard.
20Prebuilt Integration
- Prebuilt Integrations helps users accelerate
their integration projects. - The types of prebuilt integrations are
- Oracle-Created Integration
- Integration that you or other users created
21Oracle-Created Prebuilt Integrations
- Creating Point and click integrations using OIC
22Customizing Prebuilt Integration
Step 1
Import the package of Prebuilt Integration
Customize the Integration based on your need by
giving metadata such as Name and Version, minimum
Apps Versions, Readme URL, and so on., until its
final ready for publishing to all other users.
Step 2
Step 3
Integration Packages can be created to migrate
the integration from one instance to other
instance.
Step 4
Activate the Integration.
23Creating New Integration
- Integration includes at the least a trigger
(Source) connection (for request sent to oracle
integration) and invoke (target) connection and
field mapping between those two connections.
One source (trigger role)connection for requests
sent to OIC
One or more Target (invoke role) connections for
requests sent from OIC
Data mapping between two connections (both
request and response)
24Integration Styles

27OIC Adapter
Process messages, communicate with remote system.
Abstract away the complexities of transports and
protocols.
Automatic discovery of application assets.
Business objects, services and events.
Support for standard and custom objects
Plug and Play
Require you to only point and click to start
using new adapters.
Are configured as part of an ICS flow.
28Available OIC Adapters
- Over 60 adapters are preinstalled in your OIC
environment. - Oracle Cloud SaaS Applications
- Third-Party Cloud SaaS Applications
- On-Premises Enterprise Applications
- Social/Productivity Applications
- Generic Technology Adapters
- Databases
- FTP/File Servers
- REST
- SOAP
29Defining Connection and Security Properties
30OIC Integration Workflow
31Sample OIC Adapters and features
Oracle Service Cloud
Oracle Service cloud Adapter enables you to
invoke operations, execute SQL queries or
download business objects as files in Oracle
Service cloud applications.
Oracle ERP Cloud
Oracle ERP cloud Adapter allows client to
retrieve information about all public Fusion
Application services endpoints available for that
Instance.
Oracle HCM Cloud
Oracle HCM cloud Adapter enables you to invoke
operations extract bulk data or subscribe to
updates, send files to HCM cloud.
Oracle ATP/ATW Databases
Oracle ATP ATW cloud Adapter enables
to execute SQL queries or stored procedures in
oracle ATP Oracle AWD databases.
32Sample OIC Adapters and features
FTP Adapter
Oracle FTP Adapter
enables the Integration of the file transfer
protocol(FTP) and secure shell(SSH) file transfer
Protocol (sFTP) into OIC.OIC can retrieve files
for processing or can upload files and message to
a directory on a remote FTP server.
SOAP Adapter
The SOAP Adapter
can consume and external SOAP API in an
Integration in OIC. The Message received from OIC
can be passed as payload to an external SOAP
endpoint by the SOAP Adapter. Any response
received from the endpoint can be sent to the
next action in the integration for further
processing.
REST Adapter
The REST Adapter
can consume any external REST API by configuring
a REST Adapter connection as an invoke.
33OIC Connections
A Connection defines the application you want to
integrate with.
Each connection can be used for both inbound and
outbound.
Connections can be divided into four categories
SaaS adapters, Technology adapters, social
adapters, and on-premises adapters
34Data Mapping Integration
A Visual mapper enables you to define data
mapping between different data structures by
using drag and drop.
Automatically populate target data structures
with information pulled from one or more source
data structures.
Transformation is supposed between XML and XML.
35Data Mapping Integration
36Monitoring and Managing Errors in Integration
Can review the information about the completed
run instances and the time for next run.
We can submit, Pause and play to restart the
schedule.
Can view the Errors of Integration, Errors of
Connection and Error Recovery Jobs.
Setting Logging Levels and access Log files.
37EDI Integration
38B2B Integration
- B2B for Oracle Integration provides for the
secure and reliable exchange of business
documents between Oracle Integration and a
trading partner. - B2B works in Orchestrated integration through EDI
translate action. EDI Translate action supports
EDI X12 document standard for configuration.
- Select the B2B message direction for this B2B
action - Inbound The B2B message is sent from the trading
partner to the host trading partner. - Outbound The B2B message is sent from the host
trading partner.
39Action Menu for EDI process
Inbound Fetch Message Fetches a B2B business message from the persistence store, given a message identifier. Translate Translates an inbound EDI message to an Oracle Integration message. Mark As Error Marks a B2B business message with a failed processing status.
Outbound Translate Translates an Oracle Integration message to an outbound EDI message. Mark As Error Marks a B2B business message with a failed processing status.
40EDI Inbound Integration
- Inbound The B2B message is sent from the trading
partner to the host trading partner. - Steps to create Inbound EDI Integration
- Create Payload as Inbound a Translate type.
- Create translate type with the below details
- Document standard
- Document Version
- Document type
- Document Definition
- EDI Character Encoding
- Final step to map to receive the EDI
41EDI Inbound Integration
42EDI Outbound Integration
- Outbound The B2B message is sent from the host
trading partner. - Steps to create Inbound EDI Integration
- Create an output XML Document.
- Create REST trigger with XML Payload
- Create EDI Translate with below details
- Document standard
- Document Version
- Document type
- Document Definition
- EDI Character Encoding
- Create Mapping
